Unless they changed something I don't think the Baker pan has the extra hole needed to install the TC for the oil temp gauge.

Go west young man...go west! The southwest dessert offers a 12 month riding season!

Default Retirement

I retired in 03 at the tender age of 53, hired back in on a dual employment thing and just fill in for personel that are off from work. Winter only, tell them not to call me from spring until last Fall! Loving it!
I would like to head for a warmer clim when the better half retire's this year! The south west sounds good, the motorcyles and the 55 will fit, don't know what to do with the boat out there.

I spent some time up in the 4 corner's area, more my climate and I go back from time to time! Beautiful country out there! All of it...

Sure, but don't you have to wear asbestos chaps in the summer time?

Default Back to the Pan

It seems to me that pan would be even more efficient if they had at least had the bottom of the pan with fins. I guess that is hard to do with a casting but the air flow over a finned area would have disapated more heat.

That looks like a thick pan, at least a 1/4" cast aluminum material. I would be tempted to fab up a piece of alumunum plate with fins and either screw or weld it to the bottom of the pan. lVVVVVVVVVVVVVVl Would be more efficient if they cast the fins in the new design if they ever make one for the 09/10's.

Does anyone else make an aftermarket pan for the Big Twin Cams?
