Default EITMS-Helpful or Not?

Does EITMS really accomplish substantial heat reduction, or is it just something the MOCO presented as an inexpensive fix for the heat issue that is just a token acknowledgement of the problem??
Do most TG riders ride with EITMS on? Should I keep it on all the time???

I have a 08 model and didnt have my heat management turned on. I have mixed feelings about it. I have seen many bikes stumble withe throttle response when its active both 08 and 09 models and have been told by several that its still hot and they wish they hadnt had it turned on. While a few tell me they like it.

Guess its up to you to try it

It's not a cure all but if the rear cylinder isn't firing, it's not generating any heat. I leave mine enabled and along with the oil cooler fans it seems to help. Installing V & H Ovals and SE air box this week so maybe that will help a little more.

Try it and see what you think. I have mine on and it activates almost every time I'm setting at a traffic light if I've been caught in stop and go traffic. You'll know it when it comes on, seems kind of strange having the Trike bounce a little and sound like a one lung thumper. When you get ready to take off don't just snap the throttle and give it clutch or it won't be pretty. I wanted to get the jump on a car I was besides so I could merg. I was alover the green light and that turkey pinged and almost croaked right on the spot. If you take off normal it engages the rear cyl with no problems.

That’s right, the EITMS is easy to enable and disable so why don’t you experiment and see if you can detect any noticeable difference in the environment in which you operate. I operate my TG in a hot climate; our hot season lasts almost 7 months and temps range between 100-118 degrees; therefore, I keep my EITMS engaged all the time. It helps to a degree (pun intended) but doesn’t totally resolve the heat problem; however, in this climate, every little bit helps!
