Riders with Roadsmith trike kits
#11
I tossed around the idea of doing a trike kit but tossed the idea in the weeds. I was going to pick up a used low milage 06 Ultra then pull the engine and either go 103 or 113" build. After looking at all the cost I decided a new Tri Glide with factory warranty was the smart way to go for me. After riding my dads Tri Glide I do have to say its a good thing to have the 103 engine. The extra weight and rotating mass of the rear wheels sucks up the power.

[QUOTE=msocko3;5138752]A straight up Stage 2 dealer build doesn't make as much as a 110, for sure it doesn't make as much as a 110 that is properly tuned with different exhaust. A local dealer had a SE ultra tuned with a set of true duals, bike made hp in the mid 90's and torque was just a tick over 105ft/lb. A stage 2 95" couldn't sniff its shorts. When I say stage 2 I'm thinking the SE flat tops with 203 cams and stock untouched heads.

If you read my post I said a STOCK 110 not one that was properly tuned or a
Stage 1 kit with mufflers. Or a 110 with free flow A/C, mufflers & a EFI fuel manager.
I am not going to get into a pissing contest with you on numbers that facts are the facts.
My 1999 Dyna with a 1550 big bore kit with High Comp. Pistons, Cams, S/E air cleaner
and S/E pipes was dyno'ed at 90 HP & 104 TQ (I can post the map later in you need to see it).
Here is a map Jamie has posted and you can see he has a "STOCK" 100 at 83.5 HP & 98.3 TQ
Read "2008 Twin Cam 110" Screamin Eagle Dyno information "
And as for " A stage 2 95" couldn't sniff its shorts. "
LMAO .... My Dyna has alot less weight to boot !
That SE ultra would be eating MY shorts ;-)

You didn't have the Stage 2. Sounds to me like you had a 95" with the SE high comp pistons and SE 211 cams which does make decent number only problem is the 211's torque comes on to high for a heavy bagger or a Trike. Numbers are only good for measuring the size of your Johnson, how it rides and runs is what counts. Might want to get it right next time Wilbur. I'm not going to get in a pissing contest with you either so you can go on off into a corner now and lick yourself.

If it is to steep for that electrical reverse, then that's one of the reasons why I like mechanical reverse. With mechanical, if it can go forward up the incline, it can do it in reverse too and you aren't straining any electrical motor.
