Hard to tell from that angle. I tried to compare it to a pic of mine before the rake, taken from about the same position and still couldn't say for sure, but from the best I can tell that's the stock 29.5 deg. rake.

K.. thanks. In your opinion... do you think Mary will have a hard time without the sporty being raked or should she have it done before the purchase? You being a sporty trike rider would know more than us about that and what about front end lift dynamics. Is there any lift at higher speeds?

I'll think of another dozen questions for you later.

thanks again...

I would definately do the rake before she rides it much. If not her shoulders and back will hurt enough that she may get discouraged before she realizes what a great time she having! LOL It really does make a big difference. I don't really know what you mean by lift dynamics at higher speeds but I can just say that I have never had any problems to speak of at any speed. Ask all the questions you want, I may not have all the answers but I'll sure try.

Lift dynamics such as... lighter the front wheel, faster speed the wind will get under the tank and create a lifting effect. This will make the front wheel lighter and seems to be less reactive to turns or bike control.

This happened to my wife's Dyna Low. She complained about speeds over 65 and the bike changing riding characteristics so we got her a Deluxe which has a heavier front end. Now she can do hwy speeds with no worries.

Don't know if that happens with the sporty or not.

I appreciate you letting me bang you with questions.

Never had a problem with the front end lifting anytime except when taking off quickly! I have ridden mine at 95+ mph and never felt any lift. One thing though, going into corners too fast the trike will have a mind of it's own and want to go straight instead of making the turn. You learn pretty quick to hold it pretty well to the speed sign's suggestion on curves. After riding for a while you just seem to naturally have a feel for how fast you can safely round a curve. Hard to explain, you just know.

Been there, done that.. change that front tire to a bias belt. The radial will roll under a bit causing a push through the corners. Bias belt will fix that I hear. Stiffer sidewall.

Hey, thanks again for all your help

Mary... time to go triking.

Ask them to throw in a windshield and go for it.

Carlos - I am still laughing at your post.....
Hi trikermary,

Welcome to the forum... You'll love it here... Think you might know 'who I am'...

Do you have any pictures to post of your TriGlide...?

Peggy, from Texas...

Hi Cubbear,

Yes I do know you from other websites, my Tri-Glide has not arrived yet, is due next month, when I learn how to post a photo I will surely do so, it is Red Hot Sunglo - can't wait til it gets here! I look forward to meeting up with you one of these days and other trikers from the boards! I have loved my little Suzuki Trike, but owning a Harley has been a lifelong dream.
