Texas motorcycle inspection sticker/plate...

Texas motorcycle inspection sticker/plate...
When a motorcycle in Texas is inspected - that person receives an inspection sticker/plate (metal) that has to be attached to the motorcycle...
On our Sportster and Softail we were able to attach this 'plate' to the license plate - no problem, didn't block any lights/signal, etc...
The TriGlide is different... The license plate is on the trunk door - fine, no problem... But to add the 'inspection plate', it's designed to line up with the bolts on the license plate leaving the 'inspection plate' hanging over or covering much of the rear light (I WAS TOLD IT'S NOT THE REAR LIGHT BUT A REFLECTOR) - (that's just below the license plate)...
My sister and hubby devised a way to drill more holes in the side of the existing inspection plate, or whereever - attach the 'inspection plate' where it sticks out from the right side of the license plate eliminating the light (REFECTOR) being partially covered - therefore letting the license plate 'sit' correctly in the 'holder' or 'J' hooks...
Don't know of any other states who came across this 'problem'...
