Sr Hog, what a beautiful paint job. I also like your bumper. Did it come with the kit?

Super nice rig, especially the paint job. Its like a rolling piece of art. How you gonna feel driving through a gravel road, yikes.

Is that your rig up on the stand i the inset photo? I can't remember if you said it is done yet. Last thing I remember you were just getting the parts in and efforting a reverse gear too.

My memory is shiet.

Thank you everyone for your kind replys. We are looking forward to picking up our trike and being able to ride this year. I spent all of last summer healing from heart surgery. I had to have triple by pass in late June and didn't put but about 500 miles on the bagger when I was able to ride again in late September.

Anyway, the bike is an 04 Ultra Classic / Custom Paint by CPvehicles in WI / 95" Screamin Eagle Build / True Dual Vance & Hines Headers with DFT shorty slash cut mufflers / DFT trike conversion by Woodstock H-D in Northern IL / This was their first DFT trike build since becoming a DFT dealer. DFT actually supervised this build and they did an excellent job.The rear bumper came with the FL body. I wouldn't want to back into anything with it. It's more of a mounting system for the turn signals and license plate holder. I also have the optional trailer hitch.

Have Fun and Ride Safe / Talk to you all later

Regards,
Sr

Bad, the photo is my bike build in progress. EZ Steer and Reverse this week.

I wish I could get a paint job like Sr Hog.

Clear out the financial fall out from this build and in the mean time starting looking around for ideas for a new paint job. I wonder how much Sr Hog paid...I bet it was a couple(2-4) thousand, as it is nicely done and attractive. His is a 2004, yours is a 2008. When yours is 4 years old you'll be ready for a stellar paint job.

The nice part about the paint job on my trike is I only had the new lower trike body painted. Everything else was painted previously, tour pack, fenders, side covers etc... The painter who did the original also did the new body work and matched the true fire flames and vivid black to a T. Now, with that being said, the total cost for paint was around $5,200.00 for the complete bike including the new trike conversion body. The total cost for the conversion was a little over half the cost for buying a new Harley Trike with reverse added. Mine also includes the Champion reverse gear.

It's like this thing is a work in progress that never ends. You know it's like that last chrome piece you buy. "It's all I'll ever need" LOL

Default DFT Trike

I had priced out having a DFT Trike conversion done to my 06 Ultra. With the reverse, and easy steer I was given a price of 18,000. That is more than 1/2 the price of a Tri Glide. With that being said, for my money selling my Ultra and buying a Tri Glide was the way to go. It is a purpose built bike and comes with a 2 year factory warranty. I hope I made the correct decision as I really liked my 06 Ultra and was very impressed with the DFT conversion. Only time and miles will tell.
