Default New Liberty Sidecar!

Picked up our new sidecar on Saturday, and since the weather has been so fantastic, spent all weekend tooling around. We have had the best time! Spent most of the time going around to friends and family to show it off. The ride in the sidecar is just great...better than I had expected! It has the big leaf springs, so it glides over bumps with no jolting! It is very comfortable. Jim has had no problems with handling. Liberty Sidecars installed it for us with the new triple trees. We would have not done it any differently. Pete does a fabulous job! More adventures to come...

Great looking rig! How much rake did they put on the triple tree?

Now that's really a sweet looking ride. I might go the Lberty route next time.

That is one bad *** old school looking sidecar. Give us a link to this company. I didn't know anyone was reproducing the whole old style sidecar. I've seen the bodies remade before.

Here's the link: http://www.libertysidecars.com

The rake is 5 degrees...it makes the handling very smooth and easy.

So far, I am the only ballast! Jim has been out a few times on his own, and has had no problems with handling the rig with no ballast. Body positions on turns is crucial! He was very glad that he took the sidecar class though, and recommends it.

Thanks for the replies!

Congrats! I was told yesterday that my Liberty car was crated and ready to ship. Should have it late next week.

I always preferred them since they model the older HD ones.

Abnmarine, I was wondering if you had yours yet! I think we ordered right before you did.
You are having it painted and installed locally, right? Any special paint treatment?
Looking forward to pictures when it's all set.
