Building a trailer

I built my trailer about 4 years ago. I started with a Harbor Freight trailer, cut it down and added a car top carrier. You can see my pics here. http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../My%20Trailer/
I have towed it on several trips and it is really a good way to travel. You might also check out the following:

It really has some good information

here's you a present. Hf coupon for 15% http://www.harborfreightusa.com//TV/coupon1.html they will usually honor it for about a week after it expires. sales paper came today trailer is $169.99 if you are going to a store instead of online check the trailer kit carefully, mine had a damaged cross member so I hit them up for damaged parts, they took another 10% off the normal retail price ($20.00) look on craigslist and yard sales for luggage box found mine for $15.00. right now I have less than $125.00 in my trailer excluding the led tail lights.

I'm thinking of this also. I got the HF flyer today with the $170 40x49" trailer. I was thinking of cutting it down to about 36" or so wide, as that's the width of my bike. Also, I found new roof top carriers somewhere for about $120 or so. I think on Amazon.com.
Is there any problem with the 8" wheels versus the 12" wheels?

Thanks for the info guys. This winter step dad and i will be making 2 of em. I think the hitches will be the most exp part , but well worth it when taking long trips and saving a TON of cash on rooms and camping a bit ( save money on rooms= more bike parts LOL)

Here is one that started out as a HF trailer and sears cartopper and went from there....
The only other thing I've done since pic is move the axle back below the springs to give some clearance between the tires and fender....
Sorry, i'm not getting email notifications for post..<p>
