Forgot to mention in the previous passenger post, if you have a passenger with an empty sidecar, be very careful on right hand turns, they lift the sidecar real easy. The scooter isn't bad about it, can corner like a car, but the bigger ones get scary. If you ever ride that way, try to put 100 lbs or more in the sidecar. Two people on a non leaning bike make any of them top heavy.

Only thing an Ural might do better, I wouldn't do this with my Harley or Honda sidecars. Get a Harley stuck bad in snow, you'd need a tow.

Both of these are better handling than the Ural, though I wouldn't call the Harley good handling, just better. Shame it's turned into a garage queen, has engine problems that haven't made it to the top of the priority list yet. The Harley has the roomiest sidecar, then the California sidecar on the scooter, and the Ural has the best sidecar suspension, rides better than the bike does, too bad it's so small. The grandkids like them all, though, and that's why I got a sidecar in the first place. Kind of silly to have a collection of them, the Ural should go, and probably the Harley when I get it fixed, before something else breaks...

Want handling, this Honda 600cc Silverwing scooter is a sportscar compared to a truck versus the Harley or Ural and not much effort to steer. Much faster than the Ural, and might have a top speed higher than the Harley, but I'll never find out, 80 was more than enough, no matter how stable it felt. I wouldn't go that fast on an Ural, even if it could get near that speed, which it can't. One thing I don't like about the Honda, bought it from a woman and she'd painted flower stuff on it.

I've never backed the Harley uphill, but on the flat, it's actually easier to move than just the bare bike. Makes a big difference moving it when you don't have to put any effort into holding it up. The Ural has reverse, but the only time I really needed it was when I did a drifting u-turn on gravel and drifted too far into a ditch nose down. That's when you realize this thing weighs over 700 lbs... I'd guess the Harley is around 1200, put it in a ditch, towtruck. Maybe the reverse gear is a good idea.

Reverse comes in handy when you meet Moma bear with cubs. And she is informing you it is not visiting day.
When I find them pictures

That's one thing about the Highway King, it comes with a solo seat and I have no need for a back seat since I only have one passenger at a time. As for Leading Link suspension, I plan on keeping this bike as stock as I can only adding stuff that is easily changable like slip on mufflers. grips etc etc

Leading link suspension is easy to change out. Requires no permanent changes to the motorcycles. All bolt on.

Leading link will not be an issue for you. slight rake 41/2 maybe if you find steering stiff for you.
Road my 2020 a fair amount with no front end work . Did fine.
After shoulder surgery decided to do the 4 1/2 degree rake just to be sure No issue with shoulder.

Wife urged me to do the reverse in our 2017. First out of state trip with it 2 weeks after reverse install.
1 way auto trail. Bear standing tall and not happy with me.
Yes wife got one I told you so in.
I had two options draw my hand gun or try backing up. Reached down put it in reverses a slowly backed up.
She when down on all fours brought her cubs out we took some pictures and after awhile she took her cubs and left

.

I found the reverse useful when I had my Ural. There are times it just takes the worry out of parking or maneuvering around small spaces. The Ural wasn't real heavy to move on flat surface but it wasn't 1200 lbs either. I had the electric reverse on my trikes and was not fond of it at all. It's way to jerky when you engage it and has much more limitation than a mechanical reverse does.

We play all winter with this one. The Dog also. Sadly the little dog passed a short time back after many years of riding..

Yes Payton wears a helmet . Dog refused to.

Just got word that my sidecar is being shipped from Champion to the installer on Monday. Looking forward to this big time. I'm hoping I can make my right lower fairing work on this set up. I suspect I may have to modify it. We shall see.

Good luck with it On my 2017 and 2020 I just need to trim vent door a little so it could open and close.
It looks like Champions mounts are close
