Default Anyone Have Any Issues With A Biker Bar?

I’ve read the threads here extolling the virtues of the Biker Bar setup for trailering, and am wondering if anyone has had any adverse experiences with using one with a big bagger? We’re going to take a couple with us for a long trip this summer, and I am planning to get a couple for a new trailer.

Has anyone had any issues I should be concerned about? Sure seems like a no-brainer solution.

Thanks in advance!

I don’t have one, but they look well designed. Here is a previous thread about them.

Check what is running along your frame under the engine. Sometimes brake lines are in the way.

Thanks. Read that one and pretty much everything else here which came up in a site search, thanks. Just wanted to do a final sanity check before committing to relying on them to drag a couple of expensive bikes on a 4000 mile journey.

Yeah, the Wuhan took out a local one and I’ve heard they aren’t coming back, sadly. THIS thread is about a different type of bar, however, but thanks for playing!

Sorry to be late to the party. I was just about to post a new thread asking how folks like the Biker Bar. You'll see it there but basically I just put money down on a trailer and they had one in the showroom. I really hate ratchet straps, and the bar just seems to be the "sliced bread" of motorcycle trailering. So I pulled the trigger and added it to the order. Two actually since we have two bikes. For the record, I am going to also install an inexpensive wheel chock to keep my front wheel straight.

I've heard some nay-sayers on some reviews. Most of which have never seen or tried one. Most others are completely sold and love it. I posed the question in the General Harley thread, but I thought I'd get different responders here.

Note: They do make 4 different models. Touring, Softail/Dyna/V-Rod, Sportster and 1.5" custom frames.

I had a 2015 CVO Limited that I took from Florida to Sturgis for the past 5 years. I used a Biker Bar to secure it to our trailer for those 5 years. Once in the Biker Bar the bike never moved, even going over the roughest roads. I now have a CVO Trike and I still use the Biker Bar for it. Best investment I have made as far as securing my bikes to the trailer.
