Negative on Ken using his stock Wide Glide lower triple tree ... the concept is the 'cow bells' mount on the lower triple tree ... the FLST (i.e. Heritage (c), Fat Boy (F), Deluxe (N)) lower triple tree has tabs that extend fore and aft onto which the 'cow bells' are bolted ....
The tins that shroud the space between the triple trees (behind the headlight) are also bolted into holes that are tapped on the outer edges of the triple trees ... I am not sure if the Wide Glide or FXST triple trees have that tapped hole ....
Also note, the FLST lower triple tree will not clear the frame unless the stock fork stop is 'reduced' in the amount it extends ... I don't think I ground mine off flush, so were I to reinstall a FXD lower triple tree, the fork stop might still work ... would have to examine it and make a determination .....
A couple photos of mine:
I think that once this mod has been done, there's no going back ... anyone else want to confirm or deny that ....
