I found a 'take off' Fat Boy front end on craigslist and had everything but the fender and wheel ... I found the fender on e-bay and a neighbor had his Heritage take off wheels (that I later had the hub and rims powdercoated black) ... I gave $650 for the fork 150 for the fender and 150 for the wheels was able to sell my narrow glide front end for $400 and wheels for $100, so was out a net $400 ... (if you sell your take-off front end, you might expect to get a premium price because of the adjustable forks and dual front disc brakes) ....
If you want to try to piece together the parts separately, browse through the posts ... there should be a link to a thread where FXD2003Rider (Rene) listed all the parts for the Softails (including the front end) ....
I just used an electric grinder to cut off the stock fork stop on the frame and to grind the lower triple tree faces down (for the new fork stops) ....
Good luck and welcome aboard ...
