AFMM3 - thanks for the tip on that, I saw that a few posts earlier, and will definitely make that part an easier exchange. So far, what I've gleaned from this process (among other things), is that if I want to keep my fat bob forks and TT I won't be able to use fork tins, is this correct? And if I want tins, I'll need a fat boy tree and forks (in which case slick's hunt for fat bob trees will be much easier), but that will totally be more involved than I'm probably willing to go for now. I'm probably going to have to keep stock wheels for now, which will throw things off looks wise, but I'll just be happy for now to have the fat fenders, lights, and a new paint job, and bags of course, and floor boards, and, and, and.....I'm glad I gave up on the idea of a new bike, and will definitely appreciate my fat bob in a whole new light. The dual headlight served its purpose and time to move on. I ditched the straight bars early on in its life for 10" minis. I'm not intimidated by this at all, just glad I made it here for the experiences and expertise you all share.
