I just measured both hubs, one on the bike from a Wide Glide and the replacement with the Slim front wheel. On both hubs I get a measurement of 6-5/16" between the green arrows. Neither hub is an FLH hub, maybe that is where our confusion is. So I should be able to swap the rotor from one to the other and mount it right up without any issue or need for a rotor spacer.

Righto, I thought you were dealing with an FLH hub. Slim hub is perfect.

Need a hand guys- got an issue I can't figure out.
'00 FXSTC trees, '02 FLSTS legs & '99 FLSTC wheel and trying to measure for wheel spacers.
Took some rough measurements, grabbed a stack of 3/4 id washer to to mock up & mounted the wheel. Wheel is centered, rotor lines up perfectly in caliper, but before I can even get close to torque specs for the axle nut, the wheel binds & won't turn.
What am I missing? Am I spreading the legs slightly while stuffing washers in there? Am I a ****hair short on the spacers & torquing the axle nut, causing the legs to pinch slightly?
Any advice/tips would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

How big are the washers (outside diameter)? If they're big enough they may be contacting the bearing seal or outer race when tightening the axle nut.

My thoughts exactly ackman.

Smallest washer is 1 1/4" od. That too big? Regardless, I've fubar'd the oil seals-
Question is, have I trashed the bearings as well?

You're going to need the first bit to fit into the seal and ride against the inner race. I'm not sure what the diameter needs to be, I have no experience with the early wheels. I would guess it might be 1" but that's a complete guess.
edit-Just looked at the seal on Drag Spec. and it looks like the space needs to be 1 1/8".

I've got spacers with the correct outer diameter on the way.
Ya think the seals & bearings are still okay? They never got close to 50 ft lbs, before I realized something was amiss & stopped.

Bearings should be fine but I would replace the seals. They should be cheap enough at your local bearing house and new ones will keep any grease off the rotor.
