Looks really good Sonnydaze, you changed out the exhaust I see ,might want to clean up those rusty plate bolts though

have new bolts waiting but I get new plates in march , also the black painted spacers and washers on struts will be gone next week . I turned some 1 inch aluminum spacers then threaded them , so it will be nice polished spacer then acorns . also need to buff and wax , have a trip set in march and april so my mods are pretty much done and im happy with it right now

Sonny--your bikes looking good. That exhaust really flows well, makes bike look longer and leaner. Prefer over the short two into one you had on there. The longer pipes on these bikes is what I like, whether two into one or dual. This is just my opinion of course.

the 2n1 has better torq but yes the 1 3/4 looks more like the stripped down fl look I was going for and when I need to I can slap bat wing and bags on in just a minute so im think best of both worlds

fskitch, what rims are you running on your bike, I believe they are 16" correct, but what are they from or what did you use to build them.

the front= 2008 softail deluxe wheel with a 1/4 inch spacer between the rotor and hub to line up the caliper--1 1/4" axle spacer on brake side 3/4" axle spacer on right side centers it all up.
the rear= 2008 softail deluxe rim and spokes laced to dyna hub

I learned a lot about softails wheels this winter. They never went through the 1 inch axle phase like the Dynas and Electra Glides. They went straight from 3/4" axles to 25mm axles in 2008. When you have to lace a wheel you have to consider the offset, meaning the center of the hub in relationship to the center of the rim. Electra Glide wheels have no offset (what I used to have) and FLS wheels have considerable offset. That is why you had to use a rotor spacer and odd sized axle spacers.
I spent a week trying to figure out what was going wrong with my front wheel centering and rotor spacing when I changed to a 2012 FLS front end. BTW not many 2008+ FLS front wheels out there on eBay for cheap. I got lucky and bought one with a "broken spoke". When I got it, only the nipple was broken and I replaced it only to be disappointed again with the rim when truing it. It was in just barely in spec (.30" out of round) so I relaced my original rim to the new FLS hub and got my offset perfect.

My rear wheel offset has been off by almost a 1/2" for the last three years without me noticing. Centered up perfect now and a new American Elite Gen II WWW 180x65x16 on there.
