Nope no issues. I'm 5'6 and 163 and I haven't had any bottoming out. They ride like a dream, just have to plumb in my air gauge and make a better mount for the compressor.

Started the retro look with my 07 street bob a while back but now I've decided to go with 16x3 wheels, Fxdf trees, FL fender, FL headlight--for starters.
Today I ordered black Fat Bob tree's from New Castle for $220, Klockwerks FL fender adapters for street bob sliders for $159, a smooth FLST blank fender from ebay for $100.
checking out a pair of 2008 softail Deluxe 16x3's wheels. Will the front fit with an FL axle once I've installed the fat bob trees? Can anyone tell me if the rear will be a direct bolt on?
Or are the deluxe wheels just not going to work?
So far Ive got an FLD rear fender, street glide air shocks, mustang cyclone seat with 2" springs, bubble bags, softail slim bars, floorboards, fork gators, --- and so on. I liked the skinny front end at first but I'm going fat now! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Can't figure out how to post pictures here. I'll study up on it and get it figured out

The front wheel will slip right in reusing your original spacers. Pretty sure the rear one will too. You also are using the right axle, as long as it matches the bearings (1" or 25mm).
I wish I knew you were doing this, I just removed my FXDF trees and the 49mm FXD forks from my bike. Also have the home made prototype fender adapters that Klockwerks apparently copied. Could have saved you a few bucks from new.

Thanks AfMM3--of all the folks on here your bike and china shop bull from Australia is what really got me started, not to say the others on here are not truly beautiful creations!. Your's definitely with the wide glide conversion with fat bob trees.. I'll be changing to 25mm axles as my bike an '07 w/ 1" axle, spacers and such.I assume your going Full FL front end? I see my self going that direction at some point. I've been looking around for FLD take offs on ebay and CL. No luck! Any pointers / criticism /advice is welcome.

I am going FLS front end so I can reuse my lights, windshield and front fender. I just really need the tins and fork covers. 1958 and 59 used a HydroGlide front end which is essentially the modern FLS. My paint scheme is that of a 1960, so I am off by only one year. I am also doing a complete repaint going from lacquer to base clear urethane. There will be a color change. The engine will be repainted with some other items added to make it look more like a Panhead.
The rear fender will be redone. I initially had a piece of the original Street Bob fender grafted to the Road King fender to cover the front section of the rear wheel. I will remove that and weld on a section from a second Road King fender to make one perfect fender designed to fit a Dyna.
I will add a few more reproduction shiny bits from the period that should take the bike to it's final (yeah right) iteration.
