Some updates to my build. Talked Klock Werks into letting me purchase a discontinued 180 kit fender for the earlier touring models down to half price, filled the holes and drilled new ones to fit to the bike. Picked up a new Softail Deluxe style front fender for under a Benny and some Klock Werks fender brakets made (so they say) to mount the softail fenders to a Street Bob or Wide Glide, had to do a little maching to the brackets to get them to work. Also picked up a 21"x3.25" front wheel already all built up pretty cheap to, had it powdered by Joe and wrapped with a 120/70-21 Metzeler 880. Switched out the front Street Bob trees with some Fat Bob trees, still using the Street Bob light and fork legs. With the Wide Glide hub on the rim, I was still able to use the Street Bob wheel spacers (same part number), only required a new axles and new bearing/spacer kit for the 25mm axle. Also, picked up two bearly used seats for a steal, $125 for the couch and $83 for the Mustang.
Here are some picks.
How much wider the trees are.
The trees installed, waiting on the wheel.
The wheel
Installed without the fender (fender is getting rivets drilled out and plug welded)
The front fender installed.
Front and rear fenders (rear has the notch cut out for bag support crossover bracket)
The front fender brackets, you can see the where I had to machine it down to make them work.
Goth the bags back on
As you can see the fender and bags are more inline with each other, now I just need to modify the filler panels to flow between the bags and fender.
