I went the first day, "huge" is not how I would describe it. The turn out was so low, venders were packing up half way through the afternoon. Riding the track was fun, other than that the best part was a couple of the ladies selling beer, most of them didn't seem to know how to act. It must have been hard for the bands to get fired up with only about 50 people watching them. The folks at the track were all great. If the turn out on Fri and Sat doesn't do better then the "First Iowa Grand Rally" will turn into the Only Iown Grand Rally.

RKDavid is spot on with his report.
Very low turnout the first day. My opinion is that it is too close to Sturgis rally time. The major venders are already set up in Sturgis and there is no way the major venders will be at the Iowa rally next year unless the planners move it a week or so sooner.
To be fair to the rally, Iowa has been extremely hot the past couple of weeks.
There are more food venders there than motorcycle parts venders, and most of them seemed to be from local businesses.
Great venue, tons of area for the rally to grow in size.
