Was planning on going down for this years event I was just wondering if any of the other members have taken part in this ride before and if anyone is going this year.

 

Got a date or any other info on it?

 

I'm not sure on how to post links on here yet cause I'm still kind of new to the forum but the dates are June 2nd & 3rd. If you google 2012 miracle ride you can find out every thing on it.

 

I have not been, but have had coworkers who have and said its a good time. Welcome to the forum. BTW my BIL lives in chesterton. We are planning to hit some of the bike nights at Valpo HD this summer. About a 2 hr ride for me from the Wabash area.

 

I've rode in it a couple times. The fun part is Saturday when you do the poker run. There are several different poker runs coming in to Indy from different parts of the state. I think there is one that comes in from up north near you. They arrive from the poker runs Saturday afternoon. After arriving there is food and bands Saturday evening. On Sunday is the ride for the children's hospital. It is a short ride from a large parking lot, pass the hospital, and ended at the Speedway (with a lap around the Speedway). Make sure to do the Saturday stuff to make it worthwhile.

 

We plan on either doing one of the poker runs or just taking the backroads down there. I know there is a local dealer that is going to be the starting point of one of the poker runs so it should be a fun weekend.

The event is June 2nd & 3rd. The Poker Runs are on the 2nd. They start from various points in Indiana and all end at the Wyndham Indianapolis West. Sunday is the big ride. It will stage at Allison's Transmission. We will ride thru the streets of Indianapolis, past the hospital, around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and end at Lucas Oil Raceway.

It must have been a few years since you've rode in the ride. The route has been extended for a few years now. Last year it was LONG and ended at Indiana Live Casino in Shelbyville. That didn't work very well as we could not block traffic on the interstate so this year we are ending at Lucas Oil Raceway where there will be lunch, and free drag racing to view.

 

Time goes by quickly! Last one I was in we went from Allison's, past the hospital, to the Speedway track, and then ended up at the Clarion Motel between Speedway and Clermont. Didn't even get out of town. I'm glad they extended the ride. I always enjoyed the stuff on Saturday, but Sunday was kind of a let down. Good cause though! Thanks for helping out during the event!
