Thumbs up Good ride areas...

I am looking to ride on long weekends this summer. I live between the Quad Cities and Peoria. Places to eat and stay overnight cost effectively. Two up rideing /two or more bikes. This could include some Iowa locals too. Thanks for any suggestions.

Shawnee National Forest area including Giant City, Ferne Clyffe, Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock. Lots of nice parks and some good riding roads. Eat at the Giant City State Park lodge on Sunday.

La Crosse, WI has good riding around it. Riding the Amish Country by there is neat. I wanna say Highway 33 heading Southeast out of La Crosse is a good ride.

For a 3 or 4 day weekend you can make a good ride out of going to the Michigan UP.

when we get a 3 day weekend we like to head down to eastern Ky. or do a loop of Lake Michigain, The lake ride is a nice one for 3 days that way you can take the side roads and stay of the interstates

I live in sw iowa and some guys from work ride up into northeast iowa and southwest wisc, I've been up around there in a truck and it looked like it would be some good riding. I think they stay in McGregor, along the river.
