southwestern wisconsin
just took a 2 day ride through south western wisconsin. we left friday in the rain and took 81 out of beloit wisconsin to state hwy 78 north. 78 north is a great winding road through the farmlands with many hills and turn. we then jumped on us 14 west at black earth and followed that to hwy 60 in gotham. after about 2 miles on 60 going around a nice sweeping right hand turn we almost lost the bike. we hit a patch of oil which felt like ice and the whole bike started sliding sideways one wheel at a time. i was able to ride through it thanks to my girlfriend sitting still on the back and we continued on. we stayed on 60 then took county w north to mt zion in richland county (hwy w) from there we went up 131 to gays mills where we spent the night in my cabin. the next day took us to richland center through boaz on 171. we took us 14 back into richland center from boaz and hit 80 north to county I which finally ended up in bunker hill. we had beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. Bunker hill was hosting the cannon run party which was a good time. lots of music beer and burnouts. aside from the little slip on 60 it was a great weekend we even saw a fox. thanks for reading my rambling road trip story just glad im alive to share it.
