Miracel Ride for Riley Children's Hospital

Anyone out there doing this?

 

Rode in the 12th annual Miracle Ride benefiting Riley Childrens Hospial. There were 7,000 bikes in attendance and raised $250,000 for the hospital. It was a beautiful and HOT weekend. Saturday was 87 degrees for the 7 Poker Run going on at the same time all around the city and festivities at the track. Here are some pics from Saturday taken by our friend Tony. I'm the one in the black tank top with the white bandana on my head.











Then Sunday (95 degrees) was the Big Ride. All 7,000 bike departed and rode in front of the hospital where the children help us signs that said "We love you Miracle Riders. Thank you!" It brought tears to my eyes. Then from there we rode to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where we took a lap around the most famous oval in racing. It was AWESOME! Then we got lunch at the track and sat and talked to Indiana's Govenor, Mitch Daniels, who rode his Dyna Low Rider in the ride. I couldn't imagine a better weekend! I will have pics from Sunday soon. Only one girl had a camera and she is e-mail the pics to us.

Yes, I did. I was exhausted after that Poker Run. It was more riding than I have ever done! We started at 9:00am and finished up around 3:30ish and it was HOT!

I wish I could have gone. For some reason I thought you were talking about St.Louis on your post. I was actually in Indy at Indy West HD on Sunday meeting Mike (mikesgliden) for lunch. Keep in touch, I'm sure I can get back your way. It is only around 2 hrs to Indy from here.


P.S. I love napping in the grass after a long ride.
