Did any of the members of this forum attend the Riley Hospital Miracle Ride this year?
It was a really nice week end for it. Someone said there were around 7,000 bikes for the ride on Sunday. This event is held in Indianapolis each year (for those that don't know about it).

 

Yeah, the wife and I did it again this year. Staging at Lucus Stadium was nice but the ride was too slow this year. They need to do some better planning for next year to keep everyone moving. How did you like running a lap around the Indy 500 Speedway?

 

I decided not to go around the track this year. Have done it a few times before. The first couple of years was fun then it got too crowded and slow. Have you ever done the loop for life around 465? What was that like?

 

Yes, I did the Loop last year. It moves pretty good. The police block traffic where we get on. They go ahead of us and block on ramps so no traffic comes on while we are traveling on I-465. There are some people that wave and yell from the overpasses as you go around. After you get back to the fair grounds they have a good band. Angela and Steve from Steel Horse are the MCs.

 

My friends brother won the Victory Vision. He trailered it to a HD dealer and got a new Street Glide. All he had to pay was money to add the pipes he wanted.

 

The Victory Vision was valued at $24,000. I guess he lost a little money, but heck, I don't blame him. I wouldn't ride the Victory Vision around either, it is so ugly!

 

I was there all weekend. I am on the committee and worked all weekend but I was there. Worked the Cornhole contest on Saturday and kind of inbetween stuff on Sunday. Can't believe no one said hi.
