As posted in other forum, don't waste your time with the General Assembly reps. The HB hasn't moved, but the SB was forced out of committee by Cullerton. Call your senators, call the senators in the districts you ride in, find out which ones favor tourism dollars, maybe even remind Donne about "freedom of choice" God forbid any democrat ever gets accused of not being pro-choice!

For those who haven't heard, the helmet bill was defeated on wed. in the Ill. Senate, by a margin of 42 to 14.

 

Shot down in flames. Thanks to all that signed petitions and called politicians. We now have a little breather till they try this crap again.

 

Good deal, and a big margin in freedom's favor. Illinois is one of the last two free states. Everyone should have an interest in keeping it that way.

 

Unless I missed something, New Hampshire is still all-choice. They were the last to joint the free states before Colorado lost it's freedom, I heard their MRO sued the state to change it's motto and won! (Live Free or Die)

 

As far as I can tell, Illinois & Iowa are the only two free choice states left.
