My bike broke down in Southern Illinois-A small plastic part of the fuel delivery system inside the tank is cracked,apparently been happening often on the 2008 Touring Bikes.The HD dealer down there has 5 other bikes waiting for the part which is back ordered.

The other guys could have probably got the Iron Butt completed anyway even with the time we spent sitting around the dealer.We still made it to the turn around had a blast meeting some friends down there and more or less just said screw it.

Must say I'm blessed to have a really outstanding group of friends who put me first when stuff hit the fan...

I'm home now,my bike's sitting in a dealer's shop 360 miles away.The part should be in Tuesday and unless something weird happens,I'm going to get my ride and be ready to do the run to Savanna this Sunday the 22nd.

 

Sorry you guys missed the time requirements.. but it was&nbsp\\;a blast meeting you guys face to face! Glad you made it home safely!&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
