Do you need to preregister or do they accept as many that want to participate?

 

You can preregister on line, OR show up to the start of any of the seven (7) poker run starting points and register. I always show up at the Bloomington HD starting point and kick things off from there. Always a great weekend and a great ride thru some twisties from that start point. Come one, come all, the more people, the more money for the kids!!!!!

 

This will be my second year for the ride. Rode out of the Bloomington last year and had a great weekend. It was bada$$ to open up the bike on the back straight away of the track and just let it eat!!! Cant wait this year to ride out of Edinburgh.

 

You know I'll be there!

For anyone who hasn't been.....if there is one ride you do all year this should be the one. There is no better cause and when you ride past that hospital and see those kids I don't care who you are it'll choke you up. Bring your little ones with you....it's an experience my daughter still hasn't stopped talking about.

For those that have done it before,
Are you going to do a Poker Run and which one? I was thinking about starting out at Southside Harley.
Staying for the evening band?
Is there any thing to share that will make our lives easier with 4000 other bikes staging for the parade?

 

We haven't even thought about which poker run or if we will do the poker run.

As for the staging on Sunday....it's more like 7000 bikes. It is such a well organized event and goes very smoothly. My only suggestion is to bring some water or snacks as you are in the parking lot/staging area for several hours and it has been extremely HOT in the past.

 

Wow! 7,000??? Should I get there by a certain time?

 

We usually get there bright and early....staging begins at 8:00 and they will have events all morning. Usually a band and the police motorcycle drill team (pretty cool to watch).
