March of Dimes "Bikers for Babies" event. Minneapolis, MN call for volunteers
8th Annual Greater Twin Cities Bikers for Babies (formerly RIDE)
Saturday, June 14, 2008
We are looking for volunteers to help with the March of Dimes 'Bikers for Babies' event. The event will take place on Saturday, June 14th. If you can help in any of these areas or would like to be part of the ride, please let us know.
Registration Opens: 9:30am
Ride Leaves: 11am
Start and finish: Buffalo Wild Wings of Savage, 7551 Egan Dr., Savage, MN 55378
Volunteer shifts will be from about 8am-11:30am and about 3pm-6pm approximately (depends on when the ride arrives back and how long people stick around). We will mostly need people at the starting line in the morning to help with all of the registration and set up. We ride rain or shine. Some of the jobs might change or be added as our set up may be changing a bit if we have a band and are set up outside post-ride. Here’s a quick run down of jobs and numbers of people to do each one:
Set-up: 10
Silent Auction: 2
AMA waivers/Registration Forms Table: 6-8
Greeters and Traffic Directors: 6-8
Sales Table: 2-4
Mission Table: 1-2
Wrist Band/Raffle Ticket Table: 2-3
Food Table: 1-2
Road Captains: 15-20
More information on the ride will follow, but just wanted to get this out and see if anyone is interested helping out with a great cause. If you have any questions, want to attend the ride, or would like to volunteer, please send me a private message and I will get you in touch with the proper person.
Thanks!
