GliderideMike,
You still plan on attending I hope? If so do you still have our road trip planned out? If he cannot make it,I kind of drew up another ride for us just incase, about a 50 mile loop. Don't really know how far you all want to go, so if we want to make it further we can, no problem.

This is a map that you can manuever to see the actual road names. I have used HDs trip planner and have found that even though they give you all the names of the roads, road signs are not always there. Here is the route written long hand...
Leave Beaners in St. Johns and go North on old 27 to 127n and head north to W. Maples Rd.
Turn left (west) on W. Maple Rapids Rd and go to Maple Ave. in Maple Rapids.
Turn right (north) on Maple Ave. and go to 533.
Turn Left (west) on 533 and go to S. Ely Highway.
Turn right (north) on S. Ely Highway and go to M-57.
Turn left (west) on M-57 and go to Warner Rd.
Turn right (north) on Warner Rd. (changes into S. Warner Rd.) and go to Ely Highway.
Turn left (west) on Ely Highway (changes into E. Stanton Rd.) and head into the east side of Stanton and turn on Epley Rd.
Right (north) on Epley Rd. and head to E. Klees Rd.
Turn right (east) on E. Klees Rd. and go to the first left which should be Olive St.
Left on Olive St. and go into McBride to E. McBride Rd. in downtown McBride.
Turn right (east) on E. McBride Rd. (changes into W. Harrison Rd.) and go to N. State Rd. N. State Rd. changes into S. Main St. in St Louis. Head north through St. Louis. The road name then changes to N. Main St. and then changes into N. State Rd. Continue north to S.E. County Line Rd.
Turn right on SE County Line Rd and go to S. Coleman Rd.
Turn left (north) on S. Coleman Rd. and go to W. Redstone Rd.
Turn right (east) on W. Redstone Rd. The road curves NNE around the Pine River and becomes W. Pine River Rd. (heading east). Continue ENE to S. Meridian Rd.
Turn right (south) on S. Meridian Rd. The road name changes to NE County Line Rd. Continue south to M-46 (W. Gratiot Rd.) and head into the town of Merrill.
Turn right (south) on S. Merrill Rd in Merrill and continue south through Marion Springs until you get to M-57.
Turn right (west) on M-57 and go to S. Mason Rd.
Turn left (south) on S. Mason Rd. (road name changes to N. Hollister Rd.) and continue south to E. M-21.
Turn right (west) on E. M-21 and head back into St. Johns. Back to Beaners on south old 27 or whatever.......
I made all the town names we should be passing through in bold type. Hope this is more helpful than confusing........lol.

I have been on the road for the past week or so. Rode around Lake Michigan. Actually we bypassed Chicago by taking the high speed ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee. Stayed in Milwaukee a few days, bar hopping, took a tour through the Operations Plant on Capitol Rd., and stopped in the Milwaukee HD dealer. Left Milwaukee, rode north through Fond du lac. While there we stopped at Frenchies bar. Great joint and cool peeps there. Then it was onward to Green Bay. On one of our pit stops along the way, there were a couple of rad looking choppers parked, all shiney and such. Talked to the owners and they were a married couple, him a Dr., riding a pair of Arlen Ness originals. Seems they were both around 124 ci's. Beautiful bikes. Rode on past GB and ended up in Escanaba for the night. Next day rode M-2 along the coast to the bridge. Breathtaking scenery. Crossed the bridge (for the first time the construction was on the grate portion of the roadway so we had to ride the cement..lol), took 131 out of Mackinaw, then hooked onto M-66 around Petsoky and rode rt 66 on home. Had to bed down in Lake City because my cousin, who was riding his '72 Super Glide on the original build (speedo turned over to 44k miles just before the bridge) needed oil, and as we were in Lake City after 5:30 pm, all the places selling (there ended up being only 1 place) 70w dino oil were closed. Next day, he fed his bike, and we motored on home. Ended up being near 900 miles all said and done. Whatta Rush. My bike just purred, never used a drop of oil, and I spent about $67 on premium gas. Now I'm really itchin and can't wait until the wife and I ride to Gatlinburg the first of Aug.

Mike, the address is 1077 S. US 27, St. Johns, MI 48879
I am glad you are still coming, I was getting worried that I was going to have to come up with a ride plan. Sounds like you had an awesome ride, how was the tour in the plant, we were thinking about going down to York, PA the first week of July?
We went for a ride Saturday, we left our house here in St. Johns at 8:30 am and rode up to Lake City, picked up a buddy and his wife and rode up to the tip of Lelanau Peninsula to the lighthouse. Then headed back south after stoping at the casino of course, and we ended up getting back home around 10:15 pm and 465 miles later. That was alot of miles for me, my a-- was telling me it was also!!!
Talk to you soon.

The plant tour was awesome. Very clean for an old factory, but very updated procedures and technologies. Most employees seemed very happy which is a good sign.
Wow, 465 miles in one day is one long ride. The ride planned is between 200-300 miles I think. Heres' hoping for great weather, I know the company will be great! lol. Sounds like a good number of riders will be there. Actually just meeting everyone will be super, and the ride will make it a real event. Its always nice to be able to put a face with a name....
