I bought a sheet of 60 online last year for $6. The good red ones.
I've never had an issue with them

I have had my bike 3 years and my partner about the same. That means there has been 6 oil change services. All of them using HD o-rings on the primary plug.

No failures and no leaks. The o-ring looks in good shape that it might be re-usable but it gets changed as per.

When reinstalling the drain plug, every time I tighten the plug it cuts the o-ring about 2 rounds before its tight.
Have you got in there with an inspection lamp and looked for a burr?

Resurrected ... Although it is strange that recently there have been postings regarding "cracked " oil pans

Heavy handed internet professionals who know how tight a bolt needs to be done up without the use of a torque wrench.
