i have a 09 ultra,when ever i accelerate i have a sound that is like a engine knock between 2300-2600rpm in all gears,like a bad gas kinda thing.sound seems to come from rear cylinder on primary side
some things i have done---changed plugs,twice,adjusted gap --nothing.
pulled primary cover and looked at chain tensioner,compensator nut,clutch hub etc-looks fine,like new for 41000 miles.
i adjusted the drive belt cause it seems the sound started on last rear tire change,i checked for exhust leaks,nothing.i started it up and used a stethoscope on lifter block,primary case,push rods,just about everywhere,all sounded well.cleaned the air filter,just a few drops of oil in there.
i guess all thats left is a engine tune,which i caant understand why that would change,i run a se race tuner,or maybe a weak coil for spark???
anyone else have any suggestions?
i never messed with the tuner so i dont know how to adjust that,but is there a way to test a coil????
this been going on for a few hundred miles now-not burning any oil....i cant see the bottom end coming apart already...anyone know the thrust on the crank?
