Default Duece Tank on Standard

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this. Do you think a Duece gas tank will mount up on a softail standard frame? I would like to replace my tank with a duece. I know that dash won't work but I am not concerned with that only if the tank will fit.

Default RE: Duece Tank on Standard

You might/will have to fab some new front brackets if you keep the rear of the tank in the same place. I would keep the rear in the same place mainly because of the seat and fit of the tank. The only real concern on this swap is tank placement and the travel of the forks possible banging into the tank if the tanks is to far forward. Measure twice, mock it up a couple of different ways... then do it. And you have to include pics, before during and after.
