Default 2002 Road King classic won't Start. WHY???

My road king is having trouble staying started. When I start it, turns over fine and it actually starts but for 1-2 seconds and then dies. It takes 2-3 try and then it starts. I'm not sure why it dies but it is really frustrating. Any help is appreciated.

Is it fuel injected? If so, replace the fuse for the fuel pump. I have an 02 Ultra that did the same thing while on a trip. Started thinking, all my fuses are original so went through and replaced them all.

Hope that helps. Sorry, not sure what to do if carb'd.

It is fuel injected. And yes it does start after a few tries. Any other thoughts. I was thinking the the Fuel injections could be dirty or clogged but not sure. Is it ok to run fuel injector cleaner?

Sorry, I do not have any experience with injector cleaners and do not want to tell you wrong. If you have not yet, try searching through the fuel section.

I wish I had better info for you. Good luck and hope it is something real simple.
