Default Restoring Black Color of FLSTC Bag

One of the bags on my '01 FLSTC has a place where something has given the leather a whitish look. Someone must have spilled something on it.

Can I use plain old shoe polish to blacken it again, or is there something else that's better?

Use this to restore your bags:

Then afterwards use this to preserve them and give some water resistance to them:

I just restored a set of 95 Heritage original bags that had been neglected, were stiff, and faded. The bags look and feel like brand new. I just took my time with it.

Thanks for the tip. I was looking around, and I saw that someone else had had success with Fiebing's USMC black leather dye.

My bags were so bad that I thought I was going to have to replace them, so I looked around and found those two products and I am sold on it. The black rejuvenator is especially good. It has the consistency of pudding and is easy to work with. I read up on some of the ingredients and it is good stuff. It will do more than just turn your bags black like shoe polish does.
