Half Helmets or Full for warm weather

RE: Half Helmets or Full for warm weather
Ironhead hit the nail on the proverbial head, "risk in everything we do." In this f#@&ed up world of ours, every night on the news something new causes cancer. Hell, its a RISK just to drag your *** out of bed every morning. So if I am taking he risk of getting up, I might as well RIDE A BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (wearing whatever the hell I deem as necessary, not the fashion police)

unclestoolie, I wonder how I've lived this long.
The unsafe baby cribs, Lead paint, asbestos, for Gods sake a B-B gun, rifle and shotgun before I was an ADULT?
How have I made it?

Your local Harley/Bike dealer should stock Kevlar jeans. They just look like normal jeans on the rack and they cost around AUS$100 - cheaper than a good pair of denims.

I disagree...I don't think there's a question there since not riding isn't even an option. The real question is: I know I'm riding, but where?
To ride or not to ride, that is the real question...
The context it was in though, to me anyway, was meant to change Hamlet's life question of "to be or not to be" to "to ride or not to ride", like riding means living and if you aren't riding you aren't living. Oy vey....[&o]

I'll check for them next time I'm over there... how much is AUS$100.00 in Canadian dollars? Here I can get Levi's Red Tabs for around $60.00 Cdn, and I often find them on sale for $30.00 to $40.00.
Do the kevlar ones come in black?
Cheers!

O'h and one more quote for those that thinking not wearing full safety gear is okay:
"Stupid is as stupid does".
No one here is trying to impose of your freedom of choice, its not a question of freedom...

On today's exchange rate AUS$100 is CAD$94.17.
Aus pricing for goods is not necessarily the same as Canadian, so it is feasible that you could get Kevlar jeans for similar pricing to CAD$60.00, but I don't really know, you will have to go have a look.
I remember seeing more than one shade of black kevlar jeans as well as varying shades of blue.
Good luck price hunting......I suggest you do that on the phone (its easier).
