RE: Half Helmets or Full for warm weather
I just wear my issued, steal toed, non skid soles the core gave me. They don't look like much, but they let me buy more chrome...
And chrome is what makes the bike go round...right Pococj!

Don't get me started on the evils of chrome! What little chrome the VRod has I hate! I would much rather be out riding the bike than polishing chrome. Now don't get me wrong.. I love looking at chrome aslong as it is on someone else's machine!

Chrome don't get you home, but black is where it's at!

12 Stones did you ever try on a pair of civilian kevlar jeans?
As I understand it the kevlar is weaved into the jean fabric with the normal denim (its a mix). When I tried on a pair I honestly could not tell the difference between the kevlar jeans and the normal jeans - except the pair I tried did have extra padding on the inside around the butt area extending to the zipper, but you understand why the extra padding is there....and from the outside they look like normal jeans.
I prefer that to wearing leather pants...ummm...its an image thing (not that there's anything wrong with that ).

Nah, never tried em. Like you said it's risk acceptance. I won't spend the money on them (or leather pants!!). For the most part I wear jeans. I will eventually be getting some chaps for more protection but right now don't have the money.

To ride or not to ride, that is the real question...

What I want to know is...
I'm thinkin', if they accentuate my butt, I'll need a pair ASAP! lol
But Stones makes the point of "risk factor", and that's saying a lot.
Our ride, how we ride, where we ride, what we wear when riding, all plays into it.
There is a risk factor in anything we do and we must exercise some common sence when doing it.
2 words that means so much... "Common Sense"
To bad it's foriegn, to so many.

As far as lids go, I will go with an NXT half helmet for nice days, and a full face for the really cold or rainy days.
I've never even heard of kevlar lined jeans... where do yuo find those, and how much do they cost?
"Common" sense is like "Common" courtesy... not all that common!
Cheers!
