Does anyone know the changes H.D. made to the ecm and fuel inj from 2004 to 2005? I was told a PCIIIr for 2001-2004 will not work for a 2005 softail. Im wondering if the PCIIIr could be reprogrammed to work for 2005 and newer softail?

 

2005 ECM receives input from several sensors including Speed sensor. The ECM will then compute and send signal to speedometer, etc. 2004 models receive input from sensor and sends signal direct to speedometer and other components. All inputs on 05 are sent through ECM so PC's deceiver info differently.
