Default Too Tall

6'6" tall, new 2010 Ultra Limited, kness real close to grips. Looked into 10" riser handlebars. Expensive change over with new clutch cable and wire harness. Don't want to lower floor boards either. Looking at the Tallboy seat which moves you back 2". Geometrically speaking I don't see how moveing a positioned rider back will lower his knee that much at all.
Any thoughts or stories on this situation?

I'm not as tall as you at 6'3 " but on my vintage Harley flathead , I raised the seat by 2", moved it back by 2" and put 4" dog bone risers on it , turned it from an uncomfortable ride into a comfortable one.

Every inch counts

I'm also 6'6" on a 2010 Limited.
You can go with Klock Werks ERGO Ups or the HD Tallboy Handlebars and use your stock cables, lines, etc.
I used both but found both had their weak points, either wrist position or reach. I ended up spending the $$ for Wild 1 577. Trust me, save your money and get the 577's

If you plan on major touring, stay away from the HD Tallboy seat, it's not very comfortable.

Thx for fast reply. Give me a little more info on the set up of the "Tallboy" handlebars.
Do these bars bolt wright in, slide through the fairing two black grommets on the appearance side of the instrument panel. And how is the design configured to raise the hadlebars. It's interesting that you do not need to replace cable and or wire harness. Is there extra wire and cable available inside and or down below somewhere you can cut ties and stretch? Last night I moved the "Tourpak" back one full inch in preparation for the tallboy seat idea. I'd rather raise the bar 2". That's about all I need to clear the grips.

Thx, happy trails

The Tallboy seat will make quite a difference. 2" doesn't sound like much but it is on a bike. Also, moving your footboards an inch forward and an inch lower with slightly higher bars and I think you will be happy with your bike and feel. We (Harley-Davidson) don't offer lower footboards but you can get kits thru Drag Specialties
