Desperate! UC went through deep puddle, won't start: Help!
Buddy of mine drove his Ultra in a driving rainstorm through a deep puddle (through no fault of his own, trying to avoid a stalled car) three weeks ago. The bike made it through and he got home fine.
For two weeks he drove it, no probs. Then - boom - it wouldn't crank.
He's replaced fuses, dried the wiring harness, a ton of other stuff and ...nothing. Daytona is coming up. Our lives are at stake.
Does anybody have ANY idea? He's desperate and he'll try anything...
Any help is greatly appreciated...

Its difficult to diagnose problems like this over the internet! Most electrical problems are actually mechanical, in other words electrical continuity has been broken, by a fuse, chafed wire, faulty connector, broken solenoid or similar.
He should start at the battery and work outwards, checking as he goes. Does the battery have a strong charge? Do any of the electrical circuits such as lights work? If nothing works, there are very few things that can cause that! If lots of things work but the bike won't turn over, that is also easy to isolate.
If all else fails, or time is pressing, find a local indy and get the bike to him. Hands on inspection by an expert will probably have the thing going in short time. Don't mess around with this if the two of you can make no progress!
