Removing helmet lock security screws

Default Removing helmet lock security screws

When I bought my bike, first thing I installed was a helmet lock on left engine guard. Only screws it came with were those security screws that only go in, which I figured I would regret. Now I want to add highway pegs and move the lock. Is a screw extractor best way to remove security screws?
I bought a Vermont American screw extractor, which seems pretty simple. Any pitfalls with them?

If anyone's interested, the Screw extractor worked great. The drill bit that came with it, broke. Used a better quality one I already had to finish job
