RE: Hawg Detailing
I do it myself. From wash and dry to complete detail. I usually do the wash and dry in about 2 hours then wait a day for the bike to be thoroughly dry before polish and wax, which takes another 2 hours. If you want to bring your bike over and pay me a couple hundred dollars, I would be glad to wash and detail for you, or you can go out and spend a few bucks on goodies and do it yourself.
I will share some tricks with you. I used to spend high dollar for S100 wash. I would go through a bottle every month or so. S100 is a really good cleaner that you spray on a cool bike and motor then rinse it off with water. I recently purchased a gallon of simple green, diluted it 50/50 with water and filled up my S100 spray bottle. It works just as good if not better than the S100 and cost allot less.
I use an air compressor with air filter and blow nozzle to dry the bike and do a towl dry finish. You can use a leaf blower or purchase one of those high dollar bike dryers. I already had an air compressor, so it was a no brainer to by the nozzle attachment for drying.

Fortunately...people are willing to have their bike detailed (just like their cars), as it is time consuming, and some folks just don't want to do it. And, I find it relaxing and therapeutic after a long crazy work week. So, that is why I was asking. I am a biker myself and not just some oaf who only wants to make a few bucks, I am offering a service... any bike would get the same TLC that mine does-- '02 FXDWG aka 'Lucielle.' After 23,000 glorious miles, she still looks showroom quality. Thanks for the input.

RE: Hawg Detailing
Nobody has worked on or washed my bike except me from day one, but a couple weeks ago I rode it through a huge glob of grease at about 65 MPH. You would not believe how much grease can get flung up on the bike at that speed. Anyway, it was a real mess, so I bit the bullet and let the dealer do a detail job on it. It cost $95 and was worth every penny. They not only got all the grease off it, but they touched up a couple paint chips and buffed all the swirrle marks out. It looked better than the day I baught it.
