100th Anniversary Sterling Silver, Black and Gunmetal
Painted Parts Clarification
To those of you ordering painted parts for vehicles in the colors listed above, there
has been some confusion around the descriptions given in the Painted Parts
catalog, p/n 99489-03. The part listing will show that the parts do not have a
pinstripe (as indicated by the * symbol). This has generated questions and concern
from several dealers since the part they are trying to replace has a "stripe" on it. As
it turns out, the parts do not have a painted on stripe, thus the * does accurately
apply. However, the parts do have a "wide band decal" on them, which is not
specifically called out in this catalog. Be assured that when you order a
replacement painted part for a 100th Anniversary vehicle, it will come with the
stripes, decals or medallions as it should.
The catalog also states 2003 FLHTPI, FLHPI and FLHPEI front fenders come "W/O
Decal". They actually do have a winged 100th Anniversary decal on the front of the
fender.
Please make note of this in your Painted Part catalogs, and notify your Parts
Department personnel of this as well.
