Chrome Riser Filler Trim Kit Fitment
Purpose
This bulletin is to inform you that early versions of Chrome Riser Filler Trim Kit P/N 69334-03 that you
received before 10/25/02 will not fit FXSTD properly with the stock external handlebar wiring unless
the rear cover is modified. The black plastic rear cover from the kit that snaps into the front chrome
piece does not allow clearance for the wiring to be routed around it. The early-version kit does fit
properly when installed on vehicles when wiring has been internally routed.
Action
See Figure 1. If you have an early version of this kit in inventory, the black plastic rear cover can be
trimmed 3 inches from the bottom as shown to allow for clearance of externally routed handlebar
wiring. Trimming the cover in this fashion will leave a gap between the cover and the top triple tree
through which the wiring can be routed. Please inform your service technicians and customers of this
trimming procedure.
This Chrome Riser Filler Trim Kit P/N 69334-03 has been revised to include a pre-trimmed plastic
rear cover that will allow installation on vehicles with both internal and external wiring. The revised
kits began shipping on 10/25/02 and are currently available.
