Question Powdercoating question

I was thinking about powdercoating my stock mirrors at a buddys house, just wondering - do I have to remove the actual mirror from the housing first, or can the glass handle 450 degrees for 1/2 hour?

the glass might, but most mirrors have a rubber around the glass or a glue kind of like rubber cement id take the mirror out.
