Default Carb Swap on a EFI Twin Cam engine

Hello all, I am currently starting a build on a SoftTail. It is a custom stretched "Hurricane" frame, a 2004 HD FLT 88ci Twin Cam engine EFI (unbalanced) engine off of a RoadGlide, and a Ultima 5 speed trans. My question is this: The bike needs to be wired so would it be easier to buy a complete EFI wiring harness from the 2004 RoadGlide and adapt it to this buildm or would it be possible to go from EFI to a Carb?? Is this engine designed to run only on EFI set up or can it be run on a carb??

The engine isn fussy about how the gas gets in but you are looking at quite a few components to be replaced when considering EFI or carb starting with the tank and going through the entire fuel delivery system. The harness is a bit different too.
