Default Red tenths on a 1989 FLHTC speedo

Little help here. I`ve been told that because the tenths digit on my speedo on a 1989 FLHTC is reading in red numbers, the bike has at least 100k on. I have service records and old titles that dont reflect this and I have googled it and come up empty. Can anyone confirm or debunk this, or point me to an actual statement That says this. The trip meter tenths are also in red. Thanx in advance.
I should be clear that the numbers themselves are actually white with a red background versus the white with a black background on the other numbers.

Ok, scratch that question. Just looked at every 1989 Glide on ebay under 100k and they are all red also. Don`t you hate when people throw crap like that at you without way to back it.
