i have an 87 softailcustom.i just had it rebuilt,after getting it back from the dealer i had one good day of riding and the next day things were going fine until i thought the motor blew,after hearing a terrible back fireand losing my electrical.i pulled over shut the ignition off and waited a minute,started it up it rode fine for 1/4 to 1/2 mile before backfiring losing power and if i reved it it would continue to crack and backfire tremendously.so i called the dealer up they came and picked it up but they cant find a problem.can anyone help me.
