Dyna convertible fuel gauge
Guys:
One fine day at the gas station, I spilled some gas onto my fuel gauge (1997 Harley Low Rider Convertible). Apparently, unbeknownst to me, there was one of those filmy transparent plastic protector sheets on the glass of the gauge, and it instantly turned into hard, ugly plastic. I have found no substance to remove this encrustation, and it won't be scraped off.
So, I either need to find a way to restore the clarity of the glass face of the gauge, or find a new gauge. My HD dealer doesn't seem to realize that the Low Rider Convertible gauge is NOT a regular Low Rider gauge.
I'd be grateful for any ideas, either on how to fix the plastic encrustation on the existing gauge...or where I can find the correct fuel gauge for a 1997 Dyna Low Rider Convertible.
Thanks!
