I recently just bought my frist hd it's a 2010 streetglide i have always done my own maintenance such as changed my own oil, brakes , transmission fluid, tires, and jetted my carbs i have friends that own Harleys and say taking it in for the 1000 mile service is a 250 dollar oil change if this is all they do i would rather do it myself but i don't want to jeopardize my warranty any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Do it yourself. It won't effect your warranty.

 

Get a service manual. Do everything listed at each service. Keep receipts along with a paper trail. Will not effect warranty.
