Default Removing a minor fuel stain from new paint

I have a very minor/ tiny fuel stain on my 2008 roadster near the fuel cap how do I go about removing it without harming the finish on my fuel tank . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

I would wash it with your favorite car wash soap and then re wax.
