Bottom line, CHICKS DIG HARLEYS AND THE GUYS WHO RIDE THEM! There will never be a biker bar worth a **** that caters to anything else (welcomes them ok).

We like you jeffca!
It doesn't matter what you ride, it's if you ride!
For whatever reason... it's just a conflict of interest in most cases.
Don't let other's get to you...
Hell, someone is getting ragged about...
"Oh, you have a Sportster..."
"Oh, you have a bagger..."
"Oh, you have a rat bike..."
"Oh, you have a chopper..."
Get the picture
Ride and be Safe!

RE: Are people Jealous or R' U' crazy?
I work as a metric tech, and metric bikes are different in alot of ways:
1. low resale but buying a used one is buy far a cheap way to go and get a feel for riding.
2. They are year model sensitive, aftermarket accessories are limited and costly because of this, also they are what I consider disposeable bikes. Repairs are high and parts become obsolete.
3. Harleys are reliable (50k on mine with proper service)
4. Resale is greatest with HD, but a used metric will hold within reason to what you paid for it unless you stack miles on it then it goes back to disposable
5. You have to pay to play.

that pretty well sums it up huh?
I've posted many times that I'm tinkering with a 1978 Sportster. There are parts galore out there. I just installed a new Corbin seat.
Do you suppose 1 could be found , for say any metric of that age?
Let alone anything else. [:-]

I'm going to agree with everyone here.
Harleys ARE about emotion.
Metric bikes (I've owned 3), are "disposable", but only if you have "disposable" income.
It's not what you ride, but IF you ride.
I'll ride with anyone that's safe and loves the thrill of the ride.
IMHO, the beautiful thing about the Harley crowd is the "Live and let Live" attitude. I truly do not know of any other crowd made up of so many diverse people. On a poker run last month I sat in a bar with the unemployed, a railroad engineer, some military folks, a small business owner, and a few others. Know what we talked about?
BIKES.
That is why I ride a Harley, because it's what I want, and I'm free to do what I want in this great country.
Cheers.
